Our Policies

Booking your first appointment with us?

Welcome to Camden Spa. If you are booking your first appointment with us, you will be asked to provide a Visa or Mastercard number to reserve your appointment, as well as an email address and daytime phone number. As per our Camden Spa 24-hour cancellation policy, clients without credit cards may only reserve a booking if they pay 24 hours in advance of the booking. Sorry - due to past experiences with no-shows, we cannot be flexible with this policy.

Coming to see us for the first time?

We strongly recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete any necessary health forms. We offer tea or water while you complete these forms. We also recommend that you allow plenty of time to find both parking and Camden Spa as the bulk of our late arrivals are due to these reasons.

Arriving late?

We want you to enjoy our spa and we certainly don't want to rush you but if you do arrive late, you can expect to receive a shortened treatment time at full price. We really do recommend that you plan for your visit.

Need to cancel?

We appreciate your business but this is an appointment-based service and we do need to make a living. We require a minimum 24 hours notice to cancel any Camden Spa appointment or a cancellation fee equal to 50% of your total service cost will be applied. Cancellations with less than 1 hour notice before the appoinment will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 100% of your total service cost. Please note that Camden Spa packages require a minimum 72 hours notice of cancellation. As we have set aside a specific amount of time with our therapists for your service(s), we appreciate your understanding and co-operation of this policy.

Feeling ill on the day of your appointment?

We understand that getting sick is out of your control. If you are ill on the day of your Camden Spa appointment and need to cancel, we will charge 50% of your service total which will then be credited back when you re-schedule the appointment.

Not showing up for the appointment?

Too bad - you missed a great treatment. Unfortunately, you will be charged in full for the total service cost. Sorry - absolutely no exceptions.

Have a Camden Spa gift certificate or gift card?

You will be required to provide the ID number that accompanies all Camden Spa gift certificates and gift cards at the time of booking your appointment. To avoid fraud, if you have lost your gift certificate or gift card and do not have the ID number, we cannot honour the certificate. You will need to bring your gift certificate or gift card to the spa and present it to the front desk upon arrival.

For information regarding expired gift cards or gift certificates, please see bottom of page.

Booking a Camden Spa Registered Massage?

Receipts for registered massage treatments can be issued following your treatment. Please indicate to front desk before the commencement of your massage if you require a receipt for insurance purposes. Please note that for massages paid by a third party, such as a gift certificate, receipts can only be issued in the name of the person who paid for the treatment as per the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Please refer to the CMTO website at http://www.cmto.com/regulations/receipt.htm

Booking a Camden Spa package?

Our packages are a compilation of individual services and are best enjoyed in a specific order. We recommend that you book as far in advance as possible so that we can schedule the package in its optimal order. A Camden Spa package must be completed on the same day. Only one substitution per Camden Spa package, at full price. Same day substitutions depends on availability.

Booking a Camden Spa Manicure or Pedicure?

Our manis and pedis are to-die-for and we want you to enjoy the results of our hard work. Please remember that nail polish needs the proper time to dry so we ask that you be patient and remain in the spa following your treatment to allow enough drying time. For pedicures, if the weather permits, bring open toe sandals to slip into. If weather does not permit and you are wearing closed-toe shoes or boots, we recommend that you wait 15 minutes in the spa to allow the surface to dry. Afterwards, we will wrap your feet in plastic wrap to maintain the integrity of the polish as it may remain "soft" underneath the surface. If you are in a rush, please note that we are not responsible for clients who "ding" their polish.

Want us to remind you of your service(s)?

We offer a great automatic email reminder service that sends an email 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details of the reservation. We recommend that you provide an email that you check on a regular basis as we are not responsible should you forget your appointment. Telephone reminders can be requested with advance notice.

Got a cell phone?

It's time to relax, not take calls. It's also respectful to other clients who also wish to relax. Therefore, please refrain from using your phone inside our spa and please, please, please mute your ringer.

Want to pay?

Great - we'll let you. For your convenience, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac and cash.

Want to tip?

15 to 20% is customary but still left to your discretion. Gratuities can be left on credit cards and debit. However, cash is most preferred.

Like our products?

We offer a 30-day guarantee on all Camden Spa products. Return within this time for an exchange or credit.

Expired Gift Card or Gift Certificate?

Our Camden Spa gift cards and gift certificates are valid for their complete value for one year from date of purchase. Please note that gift cards sold in Ontario as of October 1, 2007 are no longer allowed to have an expiration date and will therefore be valid for their full amount. However, gift certficates that are purchased for a service or set of services are still allowed to have an expiration date - please check your certificate for its expiration date.

Certificates that have expired will lose their dollar value by 10% after each month of expiration up to 50%. Certificates will no longer be valid after one year beyond the expiration date.
